The implementation of padlet to improve learners writing skillin high schools

Abstract

Abstract: Technology is a useful tool within the educational field since it provides excellent opportunities for teachers and students to carry out the teaching-learning process in a more interactive way. In this regard, the main purpose of this study was to implement Padlet platform in English classes to help students develop writing skills and thereby identify the effect that Padlet has on those skills.To carry out this study, a sample of 19 students from the first of baccalaureate was used over a period of four weeks. In addition, to collect the necessary data, fourinstruments were used: a pre-test, observation sheets (one per each class), a post-test, and a questionnaire. The information collected with these instruments was analyzed and interpreted using two methods; quantitative and qualitative.At the end of this study, it was concluded that the main aspects that influenced either positively or negatively in the development of the students' writing skills were; motivation and attitudes of the students, the time limit to develop activities, and the resources necessary to properly develop the activities.
