Evaluación del desempeño sísmico de la unidad renal y clínica especializada de la ciudad de Catamayo

Abstract

Abstract: The uncertainty that exists regarding the seismic performance behavior of the Renal Unit and Specialized Clinic in the city of Catamayo Lojaprovince, prioritizes the safety of stakeholders. The seismic performance evaluation of the structure was developed to evaluate the behavior of the structure against seismic action as the objective of this research. The evaluation of the study structure is not only intended to predict whether or not the structure will collapse when faced with a maximum seismic action, but to provide the designer with acceptable limits for each of the hazard levels that the structure may have during its service life. Specialized software was used to model the seismic performance. For the nonlinear static analysis, the Ecuadorian Construction Standard (NEC 2015) and other international standards were considered. Weak zones, capacity curve and performance point of the structure were evaluated by applying the "Pushover" methodology, applying lateral loads to the structure, allowing to understand the failure mechanisms and recording variables such as floor drifts, plastic hinges and maximum displacements.
