Abstract

Abstract:This research project addresses the Cascarilla and Alexander Von Humboldt's report to learn more about the natural heritage that the province of Loja has. The objective of the study is the activation of historical memory in the new generations, using a simple and attractive visual language as a medium; in a way that stimulates the reader's curiosity and imagination. The project proposal focuses on the elaboration of an illustrated story, where the story of the "Quina" is told; Develop suggestive illustrations for the reader that complement the narrative of the story. It is evident that the project is an interpretation of the author, about Alexander Von Humboldt and his research on the "shell"; relying on figures of speech. The illustrations developed by the author are a fundamental pillar of the project, since through them a sufficiently representative information record is maintained.
