| Abstract: | Abstract:The objective of this research is to perform a stability analysis by limit equilibrium of the slope located in the La Banda sector of the city of Loja, in order to determine mitigation conditions, using different methods for calculating the safety factor under static and pseudo-static conditions. The data and geomechanical parameters necessary for the slope stability analysis were obtained from the study carried out by the Municipality of Loja in 2013.In obtaining the safety factors, the potential failure surfaces (circular and non-circular) were considered through the use of SLIDE 6.0 and GEO5 software, applying the limit equilibrium methods proposed by; Ordinary / Fellenius, Bishop Simplified, Janbu Simplified and Spencer.In the modeling and analysis of slope stability, special consideration was given to the characteristics of slope movement, water table and external loading near the crown of the slope. The results obtained established the instability of the slope adjacent to Luis Vargas Torres Street, La Banda sector, for which the necessary mitigation work was established to stabilize the slope. |
| Description: | Resumen:La presente investigación tiene como objetivo realizar el análisis de estabilidad mediante equilibrio límite del talud situado en el sector La Banda de la ciudad de Loja, para determinar condiciones de mitigación, empleando diferentes métodos de cálculo del factor de seguridad bajo condiciones estáticas y pseudoestáticas. Los datos y parámetros geomecánicos necesarios para el análisis de estabilidad de taludes, fueron obtenidos del estudio ejecutado por el Municipio de Loja en el año 2013.En la obtención de los factores de seguridad se consideró las superficies potenciales de falla(circular y no circular), a través del empleo de los softwares SLIDE 6.0 y GEO5, aplicando los métodos de equilibrio limite propuestos por; Ordinary / Fellenius, Bishop Simplificado, Janbú Simplificado y Spencer. En el modelamiento y análisis de estabilidad de taludes se consideró especialmente las características del movimiento de ladera, nivel freático y la carga externa cercana a la corona del talud.Los resultados obtenidos establecieron la inestabilidad del talud adyacente a la calle Luis Vargas Torres, sector La Banda,por lo cual se estableció la obra de mitigación necesaria para estabilizar el talud. |
