Abstract

Abstract: The innovative information and communication technologies allow us the use of tools, with the purpose to offer telecare, from the nursing field. The healthcare reality, in the globalized world in which we develop, it constitutes of vital importance the use of the ICT in the development itself, about of nursing competences related to direct care, in the range of prevention and health promotion in real time, it facilitates to guide nursing work from a dynamic, innovative, opportune, excellence perspective without neglecting the humanized treatment that characterizes the profession. Objective: To describe the impact of the use of Information Technology (ICT) in the humanized nursing care in research works carried out in the last decade in Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain. Material and methods: Systematic review of the literature about the Impact of the use of ICT in the humanized nursing care in the period 2010-2021. Results: After the revision of several articles, we select 28 publications which effectuated the inclusion criteria, as well as, the search period corresponded to a decade which covered the years from 2010 to 2021. Conclusions: In the decade object of the research work, a huge number of publications about the use of ICT were found and the majority of studies approve that the use of technology in the field of nursing constitutes a great contribution to holistic patients care.
