| Abstract: | Abstract: The present end-of-degree work was proposed with the main objective of designing an optical distribution network with GPON FTTH technology for the Daniel Álvarez sector of the City of Loja. With this, it is intended to improve the fixed Internet service; considering that due to social reality there is an urgent need to migrate from copper-based technology that subscribers normally receive, to fiber optics; which reaches better transmission speeds, immune to electromagnetic interference and covers greater distances. To start with the design of the fiber optic network, information was gathered from existing and potential subscribers, obtaining the total demand. Subsequently, for the technical design, the design and drawing regulations of CNT E.P. were used, and AutoCAD software was used. Finally, a financial analysis with positive results showed that the project is viable. |
| Description: | Resumen: El presente trabajo de fin de titulación se planteó con el principal objetivo de diseñar una red de distribución óptica con tecnología GPON FTTH para el sector Daniel Álvarez de la Ciudad de Loja. Con ello, se pretende mejorar el servicio de Internet fijo; considerando que debido a la realidad social resulta una imperiosa necesidad de migrar de tecnología a base de cobre que normalmente reciben los abonados, a fibra óptica; la cual alcanza mejores velocidades de trasmisión, inmune a interferencias electromagnéticas y cubre mayores distancias. Para iniciar con la elaboración del diseño de la red fibra óptica se levantó información de los abonados existentes y potenciales, obteniendo la demanda total. Posterior a ello, para el diseño técnico se usaron las normativas de diseño y dibujo de CNT E.P., y se empleó el software AutoCAD. Finalmente, mediante un análisis financiero con resultados positivos se demostró así que el proyecto es viable. |
