Diseño e implementación de un repetidor pasivo para mejorar la propagación outdoor to indoor para 4G LTE en edificios de la UTPL

Abstract

Abstract: This project provides a solution to the low level of 4G LTE coverage detected in the central building of the Universidad Tecnica Particular de Loja, produced by the diffraction suffered by the cellular signal when it is interrupted by the hill on which it is located the UTPL campus. The service providers involved in the study are CNT and OTECEL SA, however, the CNT provider has lower RSRP levels and will be selected to comply with the following objectives: to carry out the state of the art on the use of passive repeaters to improve indoor propagation, design and build a back-to-back passive repeater to carry out tests and later carry out a discussion of the results obtained. Through the use of Ad Hoc methodology, walk tests were carried out in test homes showing improvement in 4G LTE coverage, especially in the San Pedro neighborhood where the best RSRP response was obtained, suggesting that there is a great possibility that the passive repeater improves the intensity signal received in the central building of the UTPL.
