Abstract:The application of questionnaires to make a diagnosis of digital competences, is the most widely used instrument, however, it is subject to subjective responses from people, therefore the present Degree Work aims to determine through data mining the digital competences that They have the students of open and distance modality, taking into account the interactions of the students both in the EVA, from the mobile application, and in the digital tablet. The methodology applied to carry out the data mining process was Crisp-DM, for the selection of the algorithm a comparative analysis was made between K-means and CLARA, with K-means being the algorithm that gave greater precision in the resulting clusters. The level that students have in three digital competences in the area of communication is identified, these are: interaction through mobile technologies, sharing information and content, and collaboration in digital channels. The results obtained show that the level of digital competencesof students when they use mobile devices is of a basic level.
