Abstract

Abstract: The present work Principles of constructivism in the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal of the School of Basic Education "Veinte de Enero", carried out in the Santa Isabel canton, Azuay province, presents as a general objective the explanation of the contribution of Constructivism to student learning as foundation of the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal. Initially, the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal was requested from the school director; and, with the help of the content analysis technique, the principles of Constructivism integrated in the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal were identified, which were evidenced in the teachinglearning guidelines, as well as in the assessment guidelines. It is concluded that the work of the educational institution is oriented towards the student and his appropriation of knowledge in a significant way; Furthermore, that experience is a starting point for the construction of new learning and the importance of the teacher as a mediator of knowledge.
