Abstract

Abstract: To identify the prevalence associated with the different types of allergies in patients aged 0 to 15 years in HUTPL period 2009 - 2019, a retrospective, analytical cross-sectional observational study was carried out. Medical records were analyzed where the most affected ages, most frequent time of year, clinical manifestations, risk factors, morbidity, frequency according to age and sex were determined; using different relationships with crossed tables and when analyzing them, a study was obtained as a result Out of 6491 patients with allergic pathologies, the most frequent being respiratory allergy, within it the non-specific allergic rhinitis ICD 10 J304 stands out, preschool being the most affected age group, and the male sex; the months of March and April predominated; year 2014 had a higher percentage of allergic prevalence, nasal congestion stood out as the main clinical manifestation; the personal history of allergies was not evidenced (79%). Peripheral eosinophilia performed 84%, and 16% negativity. Immunoglobulin E stood out in 95.8%. In relation to the Prick test, they were only performed in patients with allergic pathology Finally, it was evidenced that the number of patients seen remained the same average over the years.
