| Abstract: | Abstract: To know the hydrological and hydraulic characteristics of a river, as well as the morphometry of the basin that directly influences the behavior of the river is essential to establish parameters that help the management and conservation of a tributary, which is why this research aims to analyze morphometrically, sedimentologically and hydraulically the Malacatos river for its management and river restoration. For this purpose, field and office work was carried out using GIS tools. As a result of the morphometry of the basin, several parameters were obtained that characterized it as a basin with no tendency to flood and highly resistant to erosion, with a low drainage density. An average flow rate of 2.81 m3/s was also determined, obtained using the float method. From the sediment analysis, an average suspended sediment flow of 137.58 ton*day and an average bottom sediment flow of 5.45 kg/s*m were obtained; the type of material along the river was determined as well graded gravel by means of granulometry. |
| Description: | Resumen: Conocer las características hidrológicas e hidráulicas de un rio, así como la morfometría de la cuenca que influye directamente en el comportamiento del rio es fundamental para establecer parámetros que ayuden al manejo y conservación de un afluente, es por ello que la presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar morfométricamente, sedimentológicamente e hidráulicamente el rio Malacatos para su manejo y restauración fluvial. Para ello se realizó trabajo de campo y de oficina mediante la utilización de herramientas SIG. Como resultado de la morfometría de la cuenca se obtuvo varios parámetros que caracterizaron a la misma como una cuenca sin tendencia a crecidas y altamente resistente a la erosión, con una baja densidad de drenaje. Así mismo se determinó el caudal promedio de 2.81 m3/s, obtenido mediante el método de los flotadores. Del análisis de sedimentos se obtuvo un gasto solido promedio de sedimentos en suspensión igual a 137.58 ton*día y un promedio de gasto de sedimentos en fondo igual a 5.45 kg/s*m, el tipo de material a lo largo del rio fue determinado como grava bien gradada mediante granulometría. |
