| dc.description | Resumen: El coronavirus (COVID-19) ha provocado una crisis sin precedentes en el ámbito educativo, que ocasionó el cierre de actividades presenciales en instituciones alrededor del mundo. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las percepciones de los docentes de las escuelas secundarias públicas ecuatorianas sobre los recursos tecnológicos utilizados en las aulas de inglés durante la pandemia.Para ello 10 profesores de diferentes colegios, la mayoría mujeres entre 30 y 60 años participaron en el estudio que se llevó a cabo mediante un modelo de investigación mixto con datos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Con base en los resultados, se concluyeque los docentes hacen uso de herramientas como Youtube, plataformas virtuales y presentaciones en Power Point desarrollando percepciones positivas hacia estos recursos ya que la mayoría consideranque la tecnología tiene un efecto positivo en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes.Sin embargo, algunos profesores han manifestado la falta de internet de alta velocidad como un obstáculo para enseñar. Por último, este estudio recomienda la cooperación de la administración escolar para proporcionar formación continua que actualice las competencias de los profesores en TIC. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has caused an unprecedented crisis in the field of education, resulting in the closure of educational institutions' face-to-face activities in mostcountries around the world. The aim of this study was to analyze the Ecuadorian Public High School teachers' perceptions on technological resources used by teachers in the EFL classrooms during the COVID-19 pandemic. For this purpose, ten high school teachers from different institutions were participants, most of them female aged from 30 to 60 years old. The research was conducted using a mixed method design that included both qualitative and quantitative data. Based on the results, it is possible to conclude that teachers make use of tools such as Youtube, virtual platforms and Power Point presentations developingpositive perceptionstowards these resources as majority of them considered thattechnology has a positive effectonstudents' learningprocess.However, a few teachers have expressed negative opinions due to the lackof high-speed Internet as obstacles to teach. Finally, this studyrecommends the full cooperation from the school administration to provide continuous training to update teachers' ICT skills. | es_ES |
