Abstract:Public resources are increasingly scarce, encountering citizen needs and aspirations that are increasing every day, which is why it is imperative to establish high quality standards in the public sector, for the formulation of the institutional budget, the same that responds to the institutional objectives in the framework of territorial planning. Therefore, the present work was developed with the objective of evaluating the execution of the budget of the Provincial GAD of Zamora Chinchipe in the year 2020, carrying out an analysis of both the income and expenditure schedules, to identify those items with difficulties in the collection and especially those that presented difficulties in the execution. The results obtained showed that the institution presented an efficiency level in the execution of the budget of the value-adding units of 7%, without considering the carry-over amounts, having to incorporate improvement processes both for the planning phase and for the execution of the project. budget.
