Abstract

Abstract: The main objective of this study is to explain the contribution of Constructivism to student learning as the foundation of the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal, of the Educational Unit San Pablo de Guarainag of the Paute canton. The study is qualitative using the content analysis method. The respective analysis is carried out on the pedagogical proposal of the Educational Unit based on the pedagogical principles of constructivism, from the perspective of Ordoñez. The variables analyzed are, the interaction with the environment, guidance teacher and the construction of one's own knowledge. From the analysis it is concluded that the natural environment of the educational community should be taken advantage of; the teacher is the one who plans the practical activities with real experiences to develop the students' abilities; The national educational system is bureaucratic, so it is better to work based on the student's performance so that they acquire authentic and meaningful learning that serves their academic and daily life.
