Estudio de los efectos dermatológicos de la aplicación tópica de la especie Solanum lycopersicum (tomate rojo)

Abstract:Over the years and thanks to technological progress, published studies have provided more information about the benefits offered by the compounds of tomato fruit, however, there is a lack of research at the skin level, which is why the objective of this work is to study the dermatological effects of topical application of the Solanum lycopersicumspecies (red tomato). Therefore, a treatment protocol has been proposed to evaluate the biological material and the main skin indicators in the test and control areas such as: humidity, oiliness, conductance and body temperature. The results of this project show a significant differencewith respect to the percentage level in moistness, oiliness, while a non-significant difference is noted in conductance, and a non-correlation of the ambient temperature and relative humidity on body temperature during the treatment period. The application of this fruit mask may help future research and its effect will depend on the type of skin to be treated.
