Estudio de los efectos dermatológicos de la aplicación tópica del extracto de fruto de café

Abstract

Abstract: Ecuador has a diversity of native plants from which natural products have been obtained, considering of vital importance to analyze their effectiveness and go through rigorous quality controls to make them known, which iswhy in this research a protocol of topical application of coffee fruit extract (Coffea arabica)with a previous analysis of quality and a study of the effects that occurred on the skin was assembled.Variables considered were: humidity, oiliness, conductance, type and texture of the skin of four anatomical parts, among these elbows and knees (thick epidermis) as well as forearms and popliteal hollow (thin epidermis) both left and right sagittal, within which were divided into test and control zones givinga total of 36 evaluated areas which throughout the weeks were presenting significant changes in all variables demonstrating that although it is not a conventional dermatological product presents effectiveness, in turn creates environmental awareness and contributes to future research.
