Abstract: The house is the place that the human being needs, to develop the activities innate to him and his family, based on the climate, environment, techniques, construction systems and materials that he can use. Social Interest Housing is a project that aims to guarantee the right to housing of lower-income households, protected by the concept of what a decent home represents, for this the general objective was to establish a model of Social Interest housing at the level of design, structure and construction materials for the vulnerable population of town Arenillas, Province of El Oro - neighborhood El Paraíso, for this a theoretical - conceptual historical study of housing - social interest housing was developed , study of similar cases, both nationally and internationally, the diagnosis was fundamental to obtain the conditioning parameters - strategies, for the creation and design of the house. As a result, a sustainable, progressive and flexible house was designed with a modular character both spatially and structurally.
