Abstract:There are different and diverse tools that allow efficient management of irrigation systems in the agricultural sector; However, in Ecuador its development has been rather slow, the tools that would make the optimization of the water resource possible have not been documented, therefore it is proposed to prepare and write a manual that synthesizes the information on the tools necessary to manage irrigation networks effectively, ensuring their sustainability and management. These tools provide irrigators, farmers, technicians and those who require it, a point of reference when conceiving, designing, implementing and operating pressurized hydraulic irrigation systems. It has been able to verify the versatility of management tools and their contribution to the efficiency of water management through a case study (irrigation project San Francisco de Cunuguachay )
