Abstract

Abstract: Environmental interpretation seeks to increase human awareness of the natural events that occur around them. The objective of this work was to design educational resources for learning the natural elements of the Carachupa Pakcha tourist center and to contribute to their conservation. In the Carachupa Pakcha entertainment activities, ecological tourism; but an environmental interpretation plan is needed. The current situation of the center and its elements were analyzed, based on primary and secondary information, educational actions were planned according to the needs and potentials existing in the center, which are reflected in an interpretive plan. Information was collected from 250 visitors and representatives of the center to identify the attractions, needs, and the interpretive potential of the elements present in the center. The lack of an interpretive plan and its respective educational material, among other aspects, was mainly identified. The Carachupa Pakcha waterfall and the trails present greater potential for interpretation that are the basis of this plan.
