Valoración económica-ambiental de los parques verdes urbanos: La Tebaida,Orillas del Zamora yJipirode la ciudad de Loja

Abstract

Abstract: The devaluation of the environment is a generalized problem that affects social and environmental levels and generates unequal distribution of economic resources. For this reason, this thesis estimates the economic-environmental value (EEV) of three urban green parks (UGP) in the city of Loja, by applying two techniques: travel cost method (TCM) and contingent valuation method (CVM); with 91 surveys. Revealing costs of access to the site (COAS) and declaration of willingness to pay (WTP), for the recreational environmental service (RES), allowing to recreate the demand within the market. Determining that the COASvalues exceed the WTP; andallowing to estimate the total economic value (TEV). Concluding that, the most appreciated park is"Jipiro" with an average payment per person of $ 7.61, and with reference to the total population of $ 1,008,592.09; followed by the Orillas del Zamora park with $ 5.57 and $ 1,283,500.67; in third place, the park "La Tebaida" with $ 4.39 and $ 1,008,592.09. Base information that serves as a political -analytical instrument for government officials to guarantee the conservation of these shared spaces.
