Construcción de Regiones Funcionales en Ecuador para una mejor inversión territorial. Caso De Estudio Cantón Calvas

Abstract

Abstract:The present study search identifies and build the functional region for Calvas canton, Ecuador, this through the analysis of the degree of functional interaction exercised in the territory to reach a better territorial inversion. The functional regions are built through the identification of the equality and it physical characteristics, socioeconomics, connection and dynamics between settlements; the territorial inversion toward the administrative units cames from the central government, who guides the budget by the necessity of each territory, thus the importance to determinate the territorial interactions and the conformation of the functional region to promote an efficient use of the economic resources. So that diagnosis is being made to the reality and territorial dynamics that the Calvas canton has with his adjacent areas, the identification of the territorial complementary units, the economics dynamics attached, infrastructure in the net defined by flux or assets exchange, people and services, with de final purpose the potential functional of Calvas, to know the place that is taken and played with the nearest cantons, and with the Peru frontier, to generate a functional wanted model with the final purpose to consolidate the identify region, being so that Cariamanga would been known as a centrality of the region, for being a provisor of assets and services specialized for rural adjacent areas.
