| Abstract: | Abstract: The objective of the study is to highlight the study of the capital structure and the effect it has on the financial performance of companies in the automotive sector in Ecuador. The analysis is necessary since there are no articles that demonstrate how this sector is based on the variables of capital structure and financial performance.Previous research shows that this analysis is necessary to determine the financial health of a certain sector of the economy, the evidence from studies in Europe, Africa and Asia reveal how companies from different sectors can be analyzed under this structure. With information obtained from the Superintendency of Companies, Securities and Insurance of 284companies, the analysis of the automotive sector is carried out applying the fixed effects econometric model and it is determined that the capital structure variables such as asset indebtedness, equity indebtedness and leverage can explain the financial performance of companies based on ROA and ROE.Being a fairly dynamic sector since they haveinfluence from several branches, it is possible to make known, when studying financial performance, the growth of companies and the sector. |
| Description: | Resumen: El estudio tiene como objetivo poner en evidencia la estudiar la estructura de capital y el efecto que la misma tiene en el desempeño financiero de las empresas del sector automotriz en el Ecuador. El análisis se hace necesario ya que no se cuenta con artículos que demuestren como se encuentra este sector basándose en las variables de estructura de capital y desempeño financiero.Las Investigaciones previas dan muestra que este análisis es necesario realizarlo para poder determinar la salud financiera de determinado sector de la economía, la evidencia de estudios en Europa, África y Asia dan a conocer como empresas de distintos sectores pueden ser analizadas bajo esta estructura. Se puede conocer la estabilidad de las empresas y del sector, demostrar la eficiencia gerencial y la permanencia en el tiempo de las empresas.Al ser un sector bastante dinámico ya que tienen influencia de varios ramos, es posible poner en conocimiento, al estudiar el desempeño financiero, el crecimiento de las empresas y del sector. |
