Abstract

Abstract: The present investigation allowed us to know the problem of urban mobility in the city ​​of Loja, focusing on Public Transportation specifically on the lines main corridors of the Loja Public Transport System. The study had The main objective is to estimate origin-destination matrices for the Sauces Argelia Dos routes. Puentes and Bolonia Plateado Tierras Coloradas Payanchi, where patterns were identified of user mobility. In addition, methods based on data analysis were used obtained from the electronic collection system provided by the SITU card, using tools like Spyder (Python) and Excel for the cleaning, processing and data analysis. The main hypothesis of the study focuses on the assumption that the second origin of a trip corresponds to the destination of the first trip, which made it possible to know the flows of passengers more precisely. The results showed predominant flows of generation and attraction of trips and the visualization of high demand times in the morning and noon. On the other hand, the stops with the highest volume of transactions, which allowed the construction of OD matrices that show the trends of mobility in the Central Corridor of the Loja Public Transportation System.
