| Abstract: | Abstract: The document highlights the need to optimize the UTPL transportation system to improve efficiency, reduce costs and promote a more sustainable and efficient service for the university community. The main problem of the UTPL transportation system is the inefficiency in the route planning and management, because the routes do not have strategic points intermediate, which makes it difficult for users to move to the university campus. Furthermore, the constant growth of the university increases the demand for transportation, but The current routes and frequencies are not designed to satisfy this need that is increasingly It is more demanding. To address this problem, research was carried out based on surveys and analysis of demand, using ArcGIS software for both surveys and optimization of routes, the results of the current diagnosis demonstrated that the current routes generate time trip of up to 5 hours, traveling 48.07 km, thus, with the proposal of optimization, the total travel time would be reduced to 2 hours and 30 minutes, reducing 45% travel time and optimizing distances to 25.96 km. |
| Description: | Resumen:El documento destaca la necesidad de optimizar el sistema de transporte de la UTPL para mejorar la eficiencia, reducir costos y promover un servicio más sostenible y eficiente para la comunidad universitaria. La principal problemática del sistema de transporte de la UTPL es la ineficiencia en la planificación y gestión de rutas, debido a que, las rutas no cuentan con puntos estratégicos intermedios, lo que dificulta la movilización de los usuarios hacia el campus universitario. Además, el crecimiento constante de la universidad incrementa la demanda de transporte, pero las rutas y frecuencias actuales no están diseñadas para satisfacer esta necesidad que cada vez es más exigente. Para abordar esta problemática, se realizó una investigación basada en encuestas y análisis de demanda, utilizando el software ArcGIS tanto para las encuestas como para la optimización de rutas, los resultados del diagnóstico actual demostraron que las rutas actuales generan tiempos de viaje de hasta 5 horas, recorriendo 48.07 km, siendo así que, con la propuesta de optimización, se reduciría el tiempo total de recorrido a 2 horas y 30 minutos, disminuyendo un 45% el tiempo de viaje y optimizando las distancias a 25.96 km. |
