El barrio y los niños. Diseño urbano inclusivo en el barrio Sauces Norte de la Ciudad de Loja

Abstract

Abstract: The present work of curricular integration proposes an urban design of the Sauces neighborhood North of the city of Loja, considering children as the main actors of the neighborhood, based on the importance of public space in its integral development with the community. The development of the investigation begins with the collection of information related to the children's city theme and is complemented with activities in contact with children through a participatory methodology, which consists of walking with the children public space, interpreting their behavior and ways of living within the neighborhood. The proposal responds to the diagnosis and the participatory workshops, through strategies of design that are contained in three axes: connectivity and accessibility, to promote a safe and independent mobility of children; learn by playing, which opens up spaces in disused so that children can gather, play and explore; and finally, capacitors social, which seek to ensure that the entire community can live together in a safe and friendly space.
