Rehabilitación arquitectónica de una edificación de bahareque en Zaruma

Abstract

Abstract: Heritage homes are part of the history of cities, they are their culture and identity, evidence of the past, so conserving and protecting these heritage assets is an inevitable need to maintain and preserve said identity, as is the case of Zaruma where its wooden architecture has prevailed over time. A deductive and inductive methodology has been used, including a historical analysis of the building, planimetric survey, and pathological records for a general diagnosis of the case study, in order to determine the equity value of the home and contextualize its evolution within the historic center. The current state of the home to be intervened is in deterioration, so a reconstruction or hypothetical survey, detecting all the phases by which the house has undergone changes until today, based on local and international charters and regulations, to carry out the possible intervention. The work seeks to preserve the home and extend its useful life by giving it a new purpose, In addition, it will be detailed through plans and images of the pathologies, such as alterations and possible risks, and finally the proposal with all its actions and changes that allow preserve this heritage property.
