Abstract

Abstract: This research, based on curricular integration work, in accordance with the type of academic priority desired by the student in the Law program and the connection that can be achieved with a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), is of fundamental importance, since these SDGs aim to create new sustainable development worldwide. Thus, this research is related to Sustainable Development Goal No. 16: peace, justice, and strong institutions and the ruling on the Extraordinary Action for Protection of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador No. 4-19-EP/21, which focuses on the violation of rights committed in the appeal and cassation rulings of a criminal proceeding classified as fraud in Article 186, paragraph 1, of the Comprehensive Organic Criminal Code. Therefore, the objective of analyzing this ruling goes hand in hand with the SDG. No. 16 is to conduct an in-depth investigation, studying the legal norms, jurisprudence, and doctrine invoked in the ruling issued by the Constitutional Court.
