Abstract

Abstract: This research addresses the inquiry into the academic orientation and learning goals of students belonging to the Technical Private University of Loja. Additionally, it explores how these goals intertwine with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly Goal 16, which focuses mainly on promoting justice, peace, and strengthening institutions. Through the analysis of the decision issued by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador under number 393-17-EP/23, transgressions of constitutional rights were identified as established in Article 66.3, as well as in paragraphs 7, 76, 82, and 86 of the same normative body. This ruling centered on a femicide case and the violations of the rights of the victim and her family. The investigations have evidenced failures in the application of the SDGs in legal systems, highlighting the need for more effective policies to ensure justice and protect human rights. Likewise, the crucial importance of legal education in preparing future professionals committed to the rule of law.
