Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this Curriculum Integration Project is to critically and legally analyze Judgment No. 1389-19-EP/23. In its decision, the Constitutional Court accepted the extraordinary action for protection against the Multi-Competence Chamber of the Provincial Court of Imbabura, which denied the revocation of the institutional care measure ordered for an adolescent. The case establishes a violation of her right to due process and the guarantee to be heard in a timely manner and under equal conditions. From the above, there is a broad relationship with the selected subject matter: Family Law, an area responsible for the set of legal norms that regulate personal and property relationships within the family. This judgment was subsequently linked to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 16; which seeks to promote peaceful and inclusive societies, facilitate access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels, taking into account that this SDG seeks to protect five rights, such as access to quality justice, legal security, effective judicial protection, good public administration, and the right to participation, communication, and information; a criterion that refers to the selected ruling No. 1389-19-EP/23.
