Abstract

Abstract: In this Knowledge Integration Project, Sustainable Development Goal No. 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions is examined in detail. The investigation carries out a doctrinal and legal analysis of the protected rights, critically addressing the ruling No. 088-17-SEP-CC issued by the Constitutional Court on March 29, 2017. This ruling arose from the extraordinary protection action presented by Darwin Aurelio Lozada Prado, alleging the violation of constitutional rights. The study presents the results, highlighting both the advantages and limitations for achieving the aforementioned objective. Likewise, questions formulated based on the variables selected in the information sheet are answered, focusing on potential improvements in the academic and professional environment of the future lawyer. The research is concluded by discussing the results obtained and an in-depth analysis of the professional and academic practice in the field of criminal law and criminal procedure, in the context of Covid-19. The public policies implemented by the State are addressed in accordance with SDG No.16, and the perceptions derived from the aforementioned ruling are reflected.
