Evaluación de la primera producción de babaco sometido a diferentes tipos de fertilización en la Estación Agropecuaria UTPL

Abstract

Abstract: In this study, babaco production was evaluated under different types of fertilization: mineral and organic, at the UTPL Agricultural Station. Fertilization was carried out based on a fertilization plan, and the following variables were measured: plant size (height), stem girth, fruit size, and weight (yield) per plant. The results indicate that the use of mineral and organic fertilizers did not show statistically significant differences and have not yet produced the expected results, as phenological development and production were low in this first year of crop production compared to other authors. Likewise, given the low production, the B/C ratio is not favorable in any treatment, indicating a B/C of less than 1.
