Estudio de factibilidad para la migración de servicio de internet fijo mediante fibra óptica GPON para la empresa XTRIM-TVCABLE en la parroquia Iñaquito de la ciudad de Quit

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this work is to carry out a feasibility study for the migration of fixed internet service through GPON fiber optics for the company XTRIM-TVCABLE in the Iñaquito parish of the city of Quito, this study is motivated to generate a quality and robust service in the transmission of internet through fiber optics, providing greater bandwidth to its customers and generating a more stable network in the face of the main problem of the country, due to power outages. The network migration is located in the province of Pichincha in the city of Quito in the neighborhoods: González Suarez, Jardín, Benalcázar and Batán. Through the market study by means of secondary information, the database of customers with active service was obtained, being part of the target population, on the other hand, the rest of the target population will be defined with primary information through visits to the different buildings, homes and commercial premises in order to know the interest towards the project. Through the technical study, the location of the service node in the Xtrim operational offices in the Bellavista neighborhood was defined. Additionally, the best technical solution for the project was identified and the total investment cost was generated, which reached $1,199,431.47. Finally, through the main financial indicators, the profitability of the project was validated, reaching a VAN of $76,280.24 and an TIR of 19%, thus ensuring the sustainability of the project.
