Abstract:This research paper analyzes the Sustainable Development Goals, primarily Goal 8, delving into the goals it seeks to achieve, its current level of achievement, and the limitations it has faced in its progress. It protects the right to work, and therefore, a doctrinal and legal review is also proposed to understand the positions of other authors on this issue. It also examines the international treaties to which Ecuador is a signatory and the national regulations developed by this country that allow it to achieve the objectives of SDG 8. In this context, a review is conducted of Judgment No. 1342-16-EP/21, which addresses the violation of the legal and labor rights of a person with a disability, analyzing the positions of the Constitutional Court and the claims of the parties. It provides knowledge about labor law, public policies, and objectives that promote a better quality of life. It also allows researchers to make decisions regarding their profession, always considering their contribution to the development of the country and society.
