Preferencias académicas de los estudiantes de la carrera de Derecho y su vinculación con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) a través del estudio de sentencias

Abstract

Abstract: The present work develops through the study of a judgment in a labor law case, in which, according to the Sustainable Development Goals, the protected rights refer to peace, justice, and strong institutions. This objective aims to promote peaceful and inclusive societies where the general population has easy access to justice, to live in an environment free from fear and all forms of violence, regardless of their origin (ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, etc.). In accordance with this objective, the regulations governing Labor Law will be analyzed, as determined in the Labor Code, the Constitution, international human rights norms, conventions, etc., which are framed to recognize and protect the rights of both the worker and the employer. The right to work is a constitutional right established in Article 325 of the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador (CRE). In this context, labor rights, their background, decisions, and the outcomes related to the judgment and the selected SDG for this research will be analyzed.
