Prevalencia de la salud mental, capital psicológico y satisfacción laboral en trabajadores ecuatorianos en el sector norte de la ciudad de Quito durante el año 2024

Abstract

Abstract: Mental health problems and disorders in the workplace contribute to the reduction of participation and commitment to work, significantly affecting the way in which workers perform their daily activities. The objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of mental health, psychological capital and job satisfaction in Ecuadorian workers in the northern sector of the city of Quito during the year 2024. The research is based on a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design of cross-sectional and descriptive type, with the participation of 65 qualified workers from private institutions. The instruments used were: Ad Hoc sociodemographic and labor Ad Hoc Questionnaire, Depression, Anxiety and Stress scales (DASS - 21), psychological capital (PCQ - 24). The results of the research were, for the depression variable, important data were found, the absence of the three variables such as stress 86.15%, anxiety 63.08%, and depression 80.00%, however, values were evidenced for a severe level n depression and extremely severe with 4.62% for both, with respect to psychological capital were obtained important values, efficacy, resilience, optimism, and had the same mean of 35 with its maximum 42, standing out hope, finally, in general satisfaction with a mean of M(78) of a maximum value of 103 , thus indicating a good satisfaction in the sample.
