Abstract

Abstract: The present study was developed with a quantitative approach, and its objective is to explain, through the use of a survey applied to 96 people in the province of Orellana, the importance and impact that women have on agricultural and livestock activities in the sector. The results obtained are interesting, as they reveal that, despite being in the 21st century, men still exercise control over certain activities as head of household and in decision making related to farming practices. However, it also highlights that women play a significant role, being a fundamental part in processes such as harvesting, marketing, animal care, crop planting and household maintenance. The study emphasizes that without women's participation, many of these activities could decline over time. It also shows the importance of crops and their contribution to environmental, social and economic aspects within the community, consolidating their relevance in the sustainable development of the sector.
