Abstract

Abstract: The topic of this research is: Legal specialization preferences of UTPL Law graduates and their relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) , specifically SDG 16, which promotes peace, justice and the strengthening of solid institutions. The general objective is to identify the factors that influence the professional specialization decisions of graduates, analyzing how these choices impact the administration of justice and the development of legal institutions. In this context, ruling No. 041-18-SEP-CC of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador, issued on January 31, 2018, on unfair practices by tourist transportation companies, is studied. This ruling addresses a constitutional controversy focused on due process and the motivation of judicial decisions. This decision guarantees the right to effective protection of constitutional rights and reinforces the principles of SDG 16. The analysis allows us to understand how the legal cases studied during academic training influence the specialization preferences of students, contributing to the strengthening of the legal system and institutions within the framework of sustainable development.
