Abstract

Abstract: The work addresses the critical analysis of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting their importance, background, progress, implications and obstacles to their fulfillment. The subchapters are developed from the importance to the detailed study of a court case. In the first chapter, a specific analysis of the selected SDG is addressed, evaluating its importance, the rights it protects and its situational status at the national and international level, exploring conceptual and normative references that support its foundation. In the second chapter, a judicial case study of a traffic crime is presented, declaring the guilt of a citizen [...] RESPONSIBLE as DIRECT AUTHOR typified and sanctioned article 377 first paragraph of the Comprehensive Organic Penal Code, imposing the custodial sentence of EIGHT MONTHS OF DEPRIVATION OF LIBERTY. The background, the arguments of the judicial body, the legal norms invoked and the resolution adopted are described. This work offers a comprehensive and critical look at the SDGs, combining theoretical analysis, jurisprudential review, highlighting the importance of these objectives in the context of judicial sustainable development.
