| dc.description | Resumen: La presente revisión narrativa tiene como objetivo recopilar la información disponible sobre los posibles efectos terapéuticos de los extractos y/o metabolitos secundarios obtenidos a partir de la especie vegetal Tectona grandis. Luego de una exhaustiva búsqueda por las bases de datos electrónicas disponibles: PubMed, BVS y Web of Science, se obtuvo un total de 52 artículos, de los cuales 19 cumplen con el objetivo de la presente investigación. En la cual se encontró que los efectos terapéuticos más investigados hasta la fecha son: Antiinflamatorio, antioxidante, analgésica, antidiabética, Antiinfecciosa y antiulcerogeneratíva, siendo estos probados por medio del uso de extractos y metabolitos secundarios sintetizados a partir de la especie vegetal en cuestión. Concluyendo que es factible su uso en el desarrollo de medicamentos por su alta efectividad dentro de los campos investigados hasta el momento. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: The purpose of this narrative review is to compile available information on the potential therapeutic effects of extracts and/or secondary metabolites obtained from the plant species Tectona grandis. After an exhaustive search of the available electronic databases: PubMed, VHL, and Web of Science, a total of 52 articles were obtained, 19 of which met the objective of this research. The review found that the most investigated therapeutic effects to date are: anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic, antidiabetic, anti-infective, and antiulcer-regenerative. These effects were tested through the use of extracts and secondary metabolites synthesized from the plant species in question. It was concluded that their use in drug development is feasible due to their high effectiveness within the fields investigated to date. | es_ES |
