| Abstract: | Abstract: This Curricular Integration Work examines academic preferences in the Law career, focusing on International Law and Human Rights, and its relationship with Sustainable Development Goal 16, which promotes peace, justice and the construction of solid institutions. Through the analysis of a ruling from the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, protected rights are identified such as the right to life, personal integrity, freedom, guarantees and judicial protection. The study also investigates students' perceptions of promoting this SDG. While, the results indicate that the relevance of International Law and Human Rights is aligned with the objective of promoting just, peaceful and inclusive societies. Finally, the need for an innovative application of human rights at the international level and the crucial role of the Inter-American Court in their promotion and protection is highlighted. It thus contributes to a better understanding of legal training and its connection with the Sustainable Development Goals. |
| Description: | Resumen: Este Trabajo de Integración Curricular examina las preferencias académicas en la carrera de Derecho, centrándose en Derecho Internacional y Derechos Humanos, y su relación con el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 16, que promueve la paz, la justicia y la construcción de instituciones sólidas. Mediante el análisis de una sentencia de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, se identifican derechos tutelados como el derecho a la vida, la integridad personal, la libertad, las garantías y la protección judicial. El estudio también investiga las percepciones de los estudiantes sobre la promoción de este ODS. Mientras que, los resultados indican que, la relevancia del Derecho Internacional y los Derechos Humanos está alineada con el objetivo de fomentar sociedades justas, pacíficas e inclusivas. Por último, se resalta la necesidad de una aplicación innovadora de los derechos humanos a nivel internacional y el papel crucial de la Corte Interamericana en su promoción y protección. Aporta así a una mejor comprensión de la formación jurídica y su conexión con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. |
