Análisis del potencial interpretativo del Parque Nacional Cajas

Abstract

Abstract: This research project had as its main objective the analysis of the interpretive potential of the Cajas National Park, promoting environmental education and interpretation, through the diagnosis of the current situation and the design of an interpretive itinerary. Where interviews and surveys were applied to visitors, park administrative staff and key actors. Identifying the problems it faces such as: lack of personnel, economic resources and lack of infrastructure, whose findings allow considering the design of the itinerary as an ideal means, because what is sought is to enhance the educational experience of visitors and strengthen the conservation of the natural resources of the PCN. In conclusion, promote environmental education and interpretation, focused on the diagnosis of the current situation, to promote the conservation of resources, enhance the educational value of the park, concluding that interpretive design is a useful and effective tool to understand, and solve problems, this itinerary allows raise awareness among visitors about the great importance of natural resources for their conservation.
