Energía y Pobreza. Un análisis para la provincia de Loja Año 2022.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze energy poverty in the province of Loja in 2022, with a focus on identifying the most influential contributing factors. The research employs a multiple linear regression approach, which was validated following the development of an econometric model aligned with the study s objectives. The results of this investigation revealed a direct relationship between poverty and access to electricity, showing that greater use of energy resources is closely associated with improvements in household quality of life and well-being. Finally, an increase in public spending would likely lead to rise in renewable energy consumption. In fact, this could affect the government s financial capacity in social programs, thereby improving access to basic services and helping to reduce poverty.
