| Abstract: | Abstract: The main objective is to study the academic preferences of law students and their link with the SDGs through the study of judgments, for which Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), the subject of Constitutional Law and Judgment No. 328-19-EP/20 of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador are taken into consideration. Through an analysis of literature, theories and legal references, the importance of SDG 3, the rights it safeguards and the current situation of compliance are specified. The study of the ruling underlines the responsibility of the State to ensure fair and effective access to health services, highlighting judicial protection as a safeguard mechanism in situations of vulnerability. In this context, the interrelationship of essential rights such as health and well-being is intensified, highlighting the relevance of a holistic approach to achieving global goals. Finally, the role of the Constitutional Court as a protector of essential rights and promoter of harmony between the Constitution and international obligations is highlighted. |
| Description: | Resumen: El objetivo principal es preferencias académicas de los estudiantes de la carrera de derecho y su vinculación con los ODS a traves del estudio de sentencias, para lo cual se toma en consideración el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 3 (Salud y Bienestar), la materia de Derecho Constitucional y la Sentencia No. 328-19-EP/20 de la Corte Constitucional de Ecuador. Mediante un análisis de literatura, teorías y referencias jurídicas, se especifica la importancia del ODS 3, los derechos que resguarda y la situación actual de cumplimiento. El estudio del fallo subraya la responsabilidad del Estado de asegurar un acceso justo y eficaz a los servicios sanitarios, resaltando la protección judicial como mecanismo de salvaguarda en situaciones de vulnerabilidad. En este contexto, la interrelación de derechos esenciales como la salud y el bienestar se intensifica, destacando la relevancia de un enfoque holístico para lograr las metas globales. Finalmente, se resalta la función de la Corte Constitucional como protectora de derechos esenciales y fomentadora de la armonía entre la Constitución y las obligaciones internacionales. |
