Abstract

Abstract: This research determines how the gender perspective has influenced the resolution of legal problems posed by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador. Key concepts are explored that allow us to understand both the gender perspective and its interpretation. It also details the jurisprudential line on the subject. The jurisprudential line presented in this work contains several rulings, including founding, consolidating, modifying, reconceptualizing, and dominant rulings. This is the basis of the research; understanding the jurisprudential line of the gender perspective has allowed us to understand the criteria issued by the Court in making its decisions; thus, it is evident that the Court has used the gender perspective as an approach to legal interpretation to elucidate controversies. This work is a qualitative research that involves the application of methods specific to legal research that, when complemented with methods of legal interpretation, facilitates the examination of the rulings in a comprehensive manner to assess all their elements.
