Abstract

Abstract: This work analyzes our academic preferences as law students at the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja and their relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), specifically SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Through the study of sentences, it is highlighted how legal training can contribute to strengthening justice and building inclusive societies. The analysis covers critical aspects such as corruption, inequality and social exclusion, emphasizing the need for transparent and effective institutions. In addition, the study addresses the fundamental rights protected by SDG 16, including access to justice, citizen participation and equality before the law. The results show how the skills acquired in the degree can be applied to resolve global conflicts and promote sustainable development. This work highlights the importance of educating ourselves as lawyers committed to human rights, capable of facing social challenges and promoting equitable justice, contributing to a more just and democratic society.
