Abstract

Abstract: Currently, the Portoviejo canton faces challenges in strengthening entrepreneurship, which stimulates the economy and generates employment. However, there is limited capacity for the formulation, management, and monitoring of projects that meet sustainability criteria. Given this reality, there is a need to incorporate technical tools that improve the planning and execution of development initiatives. This research proposes to evaluate the level of logical framework methodology for the management and monitoring of local and sustainable development projects by entrepreneurs in the Portoviejo canton. The logical framework methodology (LFM) is notable for its structured approach, which allows for the identification of problems, the establishment of objectives, the definition of activities, and the evaluation of results, resulting in efficient management. The research will be conducted using a mixed approach, applying surveys and documentary analysis to projects executed by local entrepreneurs. Among the findings, there is a lack of knowledge and formal application of the methodology, limiting the effectiveness of projects. The systematic implementation of the Logical Framework represents an opportunity to improve the quality of management processes, promote sustainability, and facilitate international cooperation, meeting standards.
