Abstract

Abstract: This paper analyzes the relationship between the academic preferences of law students and their link with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with special emphasis on SDG 16, which promotes peaceful, just and inclusive societies. It examines the progress, limitations and challenges in the implementation of this goal in Ecuador, considering the current regulations and the impact of public policies on the consolidation of effective and transparent institutions. The methodology applied included a qualitative approach based on a documentary review and the analysis of a relevant judgment, allowing for an evaluation of the effectiveness of the legal framework in guaranteeing the rights protected. The results reflect the need to strengthen access to justice and institutional governance to achieve sustainable development. It is concluded that the incorporation of training strategies in Constitutional Law is key to promote compliance with the SDGs and ensure the protection of fundamental rights in Ecuadorian society.
