Abstract

Abstract: The American comic and Japanese manga such as comics, are entertainments media globally populars, mainly among young readers that, through many works, have represented and globalized part of the culture and history of the countries in which are based the stories, That said, the project Digital illustration of a personal story about cultural aspects of Ecuador in comic/manga takes advantage of the visual and literary resources of the comics and manga, to create a comic that illustrate the colossal Volcano Chimborazo along with the culture/tradition of the residents and ice makers that lives in the foothills of the mountain, adapting, modernizing and globalizing the culture of Chimborazo through a new media of expression that is easy to consume and that adapts any type of history, being a different contribution from reports, investigations, videos, documentaries and interviews that make visible the culture of Ecuador.
