Abstract

Abstract: A web system was developed for the management and control of the investigative process of cybercrimes, applied to the National Cybercrime Unit of the National Police of Ecuador. Based on a bibliographic review, the use of web technologies in digital security environments was contextualized, identifying their contribution to the optimization of sensitive and complex processes. Information was collected from the involved users, which allowed the identification of critical processes such as complaint registration, case assignment, progress management, digital evidence uploading, and the generation of statistical reports. The solution was built with technologies such as Python, Flask, MySQL, HTML5, JavaScript, and Bootstrap, under the agile SCRUM methodology. It incorporated functions such as automatic notifications, role-based access control, and file format restrictions for evidence. Finally, the system was validated through functional testing, performance testing with Apache JMeter, source code analysis with SonarQube, and security testing with OWASP ZAP. The results showed optimal performance under high concurrency and stress, with no critical errors, proving a secure and scalable architecture. Therefore, the system meets the established requirements, contributing significantly to traceability, efficiency, and transparency in cybercrime investigative processes.
