Diseño de conectividad y red comunitaria de bajo costo para la comunidad de Aguas Blancas

Abstract

Abstract: In this project, the design of a low -cost community network in the Community of Aguas Blancas, with the aim of improving connectivity and access to information, reducing the digital divide and opening opportunities. With the adaptation of appropriate technologies taking advantage of successful models and adjusting to the needs of the community. For Chapter 1, the background and current estatus of the inhabitants of the area are reviewed. Chapter 2, in the theoretical framework analyzed and studies concepts related to community networks, connectivity and appropriate technologies. In Chapter 3 there is a review of results of surveys conducted to the inhabitants. And the network design is also developed, where technical aspects are addressed: the topology, infrastructure and the selection of adequate technologies. For chapter 4 a financial analysis is carried out, considering: initial costs, operating expenses and some economic benefits that could be derived from an improvement in connectivity.
